“For the past 15 years, my family and I have rooted ourselves in this bustling city, known for its small-town feel. Our welcoming community has afforded me the opportunity to be an active participant in several volunteer and civic organizations. I am honored to live and represent all the Pearland residents” Gary Moore

As a son of an Airmen, Gary was raised like many military children, moving to a new duty station every 3- 4 years.  Living between Florida and Okinawa, Gary’s father retired at Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth, Texas. Gary graduated from Lamar High School then enlisted into the Army. Private Moore’s first duty station was in Schweinfurt, Germany, where he remained throughout Desert Storm. After his extended tour ended, he was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas.

Gary met his lovely wife Christina, while he was stationed at Fort Hood. They will celebrate their 25th anniversary in August 2020.  They have two wonderful children, Phillip and Cheyenne, who are both graduates of Pearland ISD.

After the Army, Gary started his environmental career in the DFW area. Gary accepted a promotion with Clean Harbors that brought his family to the Houston area. Soon after he took a role as an environmental consultant, where he expanded his environmental resume to include air and water regulations and obtained a project manager certification.  In 2010, Gary accepted a role at Dow Chemical Inc. as a Senior Environmental Technologist Leader where he currently provides RCRA waste management support to six different units and manages the wastewater permit compliance for two industrial wastewater treatment plants.
